Day 1 – Arrival
Arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport. There you can buy your visa (50 US per person or 100 US per person for American citizens), pick up your luggage and go through the customs duty. Our driver is already waiting for you and will drive you to Arusha. The estimated duration is 1 hour.

Day 2 – Start of Machame Route- Machame Camp
Pick up at the meeting point. In the morning you are going to drive to Machame Gate (1840m), the starting point of your Kilimanjaro tour. After a short briefing you are going to start your climbing towards Machame Hut (2980m). It will take about 6-7 hours. On the way up you are going to have a picnic lunch. Dinner and accommodation will be at the Machame Camp.
Day 3 – Shira Camp
After the breakfast you are going to start with the tour guides from Machame Camp upwards to the Shira Camp (3830m). For today’s tour you need approximately 5-6 hours. On the way you are going to have pick nick lunch. Dinner and accommodation will be in the Shira Camp.
Day 4 – Barranco Camp
Today you are going to have a tour upwards to the Lava- Tower. For a start you are going upwards up to 4600m above sea level and return to 3950 m to the Barranco Camp. This will help you to get used to the height and to avoid high altitude sickness. On the way you are going to have picnic lunch again. Dinner will be served at the Camp.
Day 5 – Karanaga Camp
From the Barranco Camp you are going to hike to the Great Barranco Wall. While leaving the wall behind, you are going to walk further to the Karanga Camp (4250m) your today’s goal. The afternoon will be used for recovery. Lunch, Dinner and accommodation will be at the Karanga Camp.
Day 6 – Barafu Camp
After breakfast you are going to start towards the Barafu Camp (4600m). It takes about 3-4 hours. Make use of the early arrival to recover for the final climb. Dinner and accommodation will be at the Barafu Camp.
Day 7 – Peak stage- Uhuru Peak
Around midnight you are going to have a light breakfast and start towards the Stella Point (5740m). It takes approximately 5 hours. From there it takes only 30- 40 min to get to the Uhuru peak on 5895m above sea level. Experience a memorable sunrise and afterwards get ready for the descend. You are going to hike back to Barafu Camp, recover at lunch and go further down to the Mweka Camp (2850m). Dinner and accommodation will be at Mweka Camp.
Da 8 – Climb- down- Mweka Gate
After breakfast you are going down to Mweka Gate. Picnic lunch on the way down. At the Gate you are going to receive a certificate for the (hopefully) successful climb of the highest mountain in Africa. Afterwards our driver will drive you back to Arusha.
